Laurel Canyon Dog Park
8260 Mulholland Drive, Studio City, CA 90046
- Located in the hills of Mulholland, there are large fenced-in areas for play accommodating dogs of all sizes with the biggest space at 5 acres that separates the larger dogs from smaller ones.
- Give yourself ample time for parking as the lot only accommodates 35 cars
- Be on the lookout for coyotes and rattlesnakes around dawn and dusk
- Closed for maintenance on Fridays between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m.
Alice’s Dog Park
3026 E. Orange Grove Blvd. Pasadena, CA 91107
- One of Pasadena’s four-legged paradises, this is a hillside park with double-fenced protection
- 2.5 acres of off-leash play space for large dogs and 1 acre for small dogs
- There are picnic tables with shade and clean water stations
- Closed for maintenance on Tuesdays
Lake Hollywood Park
8260 Mulholland Drive, Studio City, CA 90046
- Located on the edge of Griffith park with lots of places to hike
- With a perfect view of the Hollywood sign, this is widely considered to be the best dog park in L.A.
- Ample parking and a large grassy play area
- NOT an off-leash park ($100 fine if violated)
Silverlake Dog Park
1850 Silverlake Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90026
- Almost 1.5 acres of off-leash lay with separate areas for large and small dogs
- Very dirt heavy so it can get muddy in the winter season and dusty during the summertime
- Closed on Wednesdays for maintenance between 6 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
The Boneyard
3160N. Canyon Drive, Culver City, CA 90232
- 1-acre off-leash park located within Culver City Park
- Ample parking and water fountains
- Dusty gravel on the land
- Open until 10 p.m. with lights over the play area
Sepulveda Basin
17494 Victory Blvd., Encino, CA 91436
- One of the biggest parks in LA sitting at 6.5 acres with plenty of grass area (off-leash play)
- A large parking lot
- Picnic tables for resting
- Closed on Fridays from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. for maintenance
Hermon Dog Park
5568 Via Marisol, Los Angeles, CA 90042
- 1.3 acres with much of it dedicated to the smaller dogs
- Fenced and mud-free areas for off-leash play
- Ample tree shade
- Generally less traffic
